   Being a Corvette owner for the first time was one of the best feelings I’ve ever had. I love to do my own maintenance, polishing and minor repairs after a road trip with the gang. For me it's a great release from the grind. Unfortunately, in the beginning I knew very little about the  inherent issues with my C5. The most common being the dreaded column lockout. It was a daunting task in the beginning to learn what was wrong, where to buy the part or who could be trusted to do the work. 

  One of the best things I ever did was join the ACE Corvette forum on line. Through these wacky people I learned how to fix some issues myself. If I can’t fix the issues myself, the forum guys, being the enthusiasts that they are, are always more than willing to help. Thanks to these know-it-all friends the following list will help save the time and money that would be better spent enjoying the road.
